Questions we hear often
Do I need any technical knowledge to work with Akal?
None at all. Our sessions are designed for people who have never looked closely at AI tools before. We explain everything in plain language and check that it makes sense before moving on.
What kind of businesses do you typically work with?
We work with small businesses across the Penang mainland — retail shops, service providers, small offices, food businesses, and sole traders. If your team has between one and fifteen people and you handle a fair amount of repeated manual work, there is likely something useful we can offer.
What happens after the Discovery Conversation?
You receive a short written summary of what we discussed and a few ideas worth considering. You are under no obligation to continue. If you decide to take the next step, we discuss which option fits best — and we take it from there at your pace.
How long does the Process Companion Package take?
Typically three to four weeks, though we let the team's comfort level guide the actual pace. We do not rush a rollout just to finish faster. If your staff needs more time to settle with a tool, we adjust accordingly.
Can I cancel or pause the Steady Guidance Retainer?
Yes. The retainer scope is agreed with you before we start, and you can pause or scale it down whenever it suits your business. We discuss any changes openly and put the arrangement back together when you are ready.
Will AI tools replace anyone on my team?
That is not what we look for. Our focus is on tedious, repetitive tasks that take time away from the parts of work your people are actually good at. We look for tools that support your team, not ones that make people feel uncertain about their place.
Are the sessions conducted in Bahasa Malaysia or English?
We conduct sessions in English and can accommodate Bahasa Malaysia conversations where needed. Written summaries are currently in English, and we are happy to clarify any term in either language during our calls.
